Eastern Beach Recount: Michael

Eastern Beach Trip

On Monday 4th March Panmure Bridge School took a trip to Eastern Beach. It was a fabulous day. When I came to school for the trip I saw my friends dressed like they were going to Sylvia Park and I was thinking ‘We’re going to the beach not to Auckland city!’
When we hopped on the bus all I could hear was talking, nothing but talking, now I know what teachers go through every single day. The bus stopped everyone was silent. We were waiting on the edge of our seats ready to leap out when their teachers would let us. As soon as the doors opened the teachers were out of their seats waiting to guide their classes to the feild.

After morning tea Mr Johston talked to us. When he said those words the school was waiting to hear, ‘Go and play!’ everyone got up starting running around like it was the end of the world, others were doing their own thing and playing games and doing activities. Year 7 and 8 did what the lower year levels couldn’t, they went kayaking. I think they were jealous of year 7 and 8.

The sun was burning me with its flamethrower. Luckily after kayaking it was our time to swim.
“Yes!!!” I shouted when I finally got in the water.

“That was refreshing” I said as I got out. Phoenix, Aryan and I were talking about Marvel And DC Universe. We made sand balls and we threw them to each other like they were paper.

Then our time at the beach was over. I got back on the bus and thought that was definitely a fun and energetic day.

Addition Challenge

I used my basic facts knowledge to help me solve these addition questions. I think I know my numbers in the hundreds but I still need to practise working with numbers in the thousands.
